The face of Albert Einstein is one of the most familiar images of our age. He has become the iconic representation for the mind, but also serves as one who transcends science and spirituality.
To capture my respect of him, I placed his face upon a pedestal. The classic smile beams from the inside of a helmet, which signifies his battle against Newtonian physics, and the outdated thinking of the past. The gold, silver, and white slender branches represent his familiar wild head of hair, while also embodying bolts of lightning, the startling insights that arose from his thoughts.
The dangling orb suspended in midair and the clock beneath it suggests a star and his exploration into the phenomenon of time, in addition to an atomic nucleus and his delving into the sub-atomic world.
